What Are You Reading Wednesday #41: Into Thin Air

whatareyoureadingwedWhat Are You Reading Wednesdays #WAYRW is a weekly feature on It’s A Reading Thing. It’s fairly straight forward. Just answer a few simple questions about the book you are currently reading and the post it. If you use the image above, please make sure you link it back to It’s A Reading Thing.

How to participate:
Grab the book you are currently reading and answer three questions:

Into Thin Air

1. What’s the name of your current read?

Into Thin Air Jon Krakauer

2. Go to page 34 in your book or 34% in your eBook and share a couple of sentences.

Hall had for some years been an avid hill walker; about the same time he went to work for Alp Sports, he took up rock and ice climbing as well. He was a fast learner, says Atkinson, who became Hall’s most frequent climbing partner, ” with the ability to soak up skills and attitudes from anybody.

3. Would you like to live in the world that exists within your book? Why or why not?

Since this a true account of the real disaster that took place during a Mt. Everest climb in 1996, then no, I would not want to exist within the world of this story. Even though, technically I was an 11 year old during this time frame. I was actually reading another book, but after watching Everest this weekend, I find myself highly curious about the events that happened that day… even as tragic as they were.
