Sunday Post #43 – School and Four Day Weekend

Sunday Post Meme

The Sunday Post is a weekly meme hosted at Caffeinated Book Reviewer. It’s a chance to share news, post a recap for the week before, showcase books and things we have received, etc.

First thing first, you guys voted and this month’s featured book is:

Toto's Tale and True Chronicles of Oz

I’m really excited to feature this book and if you have children or grandchildren, this is exactly the kind of book that will be fun to read with them!

Anywho, I started grad school this week and can I just say, I forgot how much I despise online classes. Especially the ones that force you to do mandatory discussion posts and then you have to reply to two posts. I know this seems like a silly thing to despise, but what I despise is the fact everyone replies to the same two or three posts. It’s enough to make you wonder why you even had to post if no one is going to read or reply. But I suppose this is my karmic payback for not being more diligent to the comments on my blog?

Besides school, there’s not a whole lot going on in my world. I’m currently working on trying to figure out where I’ll be working next fall. Of course, I can return to subbing, but I’m considering a few other opportunities that will allow me a more permanent position. Besides, it’s always good to have back ups right?

Anyways, I hope you all are having a great weekend and that you have a great week!

All book covers are linked to my personal review of the book or it’s Goodreads or Amazon page.

  1. Yeah, it’s always hard to not want to add a book just for the sake of adding a book to the stacks! LOL! Though it’s a good thing not to add more books to the TBR pile! Hopefully you can make a nice little dent in the TBR pile this week because of it! Happy Reading!

    Have a GREAT day!

    Old Follower 🙂

    • I did make a little dent! And surprisingly was still able to work and get all of my studying/hw done. I’m surprised to be honest, but we’ll see how it goes over the next few weeks. 🙂

  2. I hated when professors would assign online discussion assignments. No one would have theirs up when I went to put mine up, so I had to remember to go back and read and comment on however many. It does stink when no one comments on yours. The program should have a feature where the instructor can turn off comments after 5 or whatever so that students can’t cop out on the same couple of responses. Have fun with it!

  3. I didn’t know there was a Zoo 2. I just started watching S2 of the Zoo show, i liked it last year- we’ll see how they do this year. 🙂 And congrats on starting grad school, good luck!!

    • I liked the start of S1 of Zoo. But it was one of those shows that came on at a weird time or a day when I had other shows, so I kept forgetting to go back. But I definitely liked it better than the book. Thanks!
