What Are You Reading Wednesdays #WAYRW is a weekly feature on It’s A Reading Thing. It’s fairly straight forward. Just answer a few simple questions about the book you are currently reading and the post it. If you use the image above, please make sure you link it back to It’s A Reading Thing.
How to participate:
Grab the book you are currently reading and answer three questions:
1. What’s the name of your current read?
Cross Kill by James Patterson
2. Go to page 34 in your book or 34% in your eBook and share a couple of sentences.
“I believed him until my brother Charles noticed that Gary was always volunteering to gut deer they killed,” she said. “Charles told me Gary liked to put his hands in the warm innards, said he liked the feeling, and told me how Gary’d get all bright and glowing when he was doing it.”
3. Would you like to live in the world that exists within your book? Why or why not?
At this point in the book, I’m already so annoyed by the story, it’s probably best I’m not living in this world. First of all, the Cross family has all of the good and bad luck in the world. And this one starts off talking about how Nana Mama won the Powerball. Are you freaking kidding me? You have perfect kids, Alex Cross has been in his forties for thirty years and Nana Mama, who is a nagging, racist, won the Powerball? That was chapter one and I haven’t stopped rolling my eyes ever since.
