What Are You Reading Wednesday #48: Maggie Dove

whatareyoureadingwedWhat Are You Reading Wednesdays #WAYRW is a weekly feature on It’s A Reading Thing. It’s fairly straight forward. Just answer a few simple questions about the book you are currently reading and the post it. If you use the image above, please make sure you link it back to It’s A Reading Thing.

How to participate:
Grab the book you are currently reading and answer three questions:

Maggie Dove

1. What’s the name of your current read?

Maggie Dove by Susan Breen

2. Go to page 34 in your book or 34% in your eBook and share a couple of sentences.

Edgar lunged to take Shu Chin’s Bible, which he succeeded in grabbing out of her hands and throwing onto the floor.

Everyone hushed at that. Maggie could hear the minister’s voice projected through an intercom, talking about a tree and temptation. So much came back to trees. But she barely heard it as she swept forward and picked up the Bible and kisses it, an old tradition.

3. Would you like to live in the world that exists within your book? Why or why not?

Seems like a pretty typical town, full of typical drama and death… I don’t know if I’d go as far as to poison a tree to get my way, but even I’m suspicious of the main character right now! LOL
