What Are You Reading Wednesday #49: Basket Case

whatareyoureadingwedWhat Are You Reading Wednesdays #WAYRW is a weekly feature on It’s A Reading Thing. It’s fairly straight forward. Just answer a few simple questions about the book you are currently reading and the post it. If you use the image above, please make sure you link it back to It’s A Reading Thing.

How to participate:
Grab the book you are currently reading and answer three questions:

Basket Case

1. What’s the name of your current read?

Basket Case by Nancy Haddock

2. Go to page 34 in your book or 34% in your eBook and share a couple of sentences.

“It’s my fault,” she said. “I have a lovely recipe for banana flambe, but it always goes flambooey. Same when I try it with peaches and berries. I don’t know what I’m doing wrong.”

“No offense, Maise, but coming from someone who can fry okra this perfect, that story sound like a lot of baloney.” I set my fork on the plate, sat ramrod straight, and gave each of the Six a hard stare. “Time to come clean, ladies and gentlemen. What’s really going on?”

3. Would you like to live in the world that exists within your book? Why or why not?

So far it seems like a quaint little town full of honest, hard-working people. But there’s also a lot of shenanigans going on with people’s tire lugs being loosened and people being poisoned. Now there’s murder at play… perhaps it’s not as quaint as I thought, but the book is great so far!
