What Are You Reading Wednesday #53: Harry Potter and the Cursed Child

whatareyoureadingwedWhat Are You Reading Wednesdays #WAYRW is a weekly feature on It’s A Reading Thing. It’s fairly straight forward. Just answer a few simple questions about the book you are currently reading and the post it. If you use the image above, please make sure you link it back to It’s A Reading Thing.

How to participate:
Grab the book you are currently reading and answer three questions:

1. What’s the name of your current read?

Harry Potter and the Cursed Child by J.K. Rowling, John Tiffany & Jack Thorne

2. Go to page 34 in your book or 34% in your eBook and share a couple of sentences.

AMOS: My son, Cedric, you do remember Cedric, don’t you?

HARRY (remembering Cedric hurts him): Yes, I remember your son. His loss –

AMOS: Voldemort wanted you! Not my son! You told me yourself, the words he said were, “Kill the spare.” The spare. My son, my beautiful son, was a spare.

3. Would you like to live in the world that exists within your book? Why or why not?

It’s the world of Harry Potter(ish), so of course I wish I could live in the world within this book. But, let’s be honest, it’s not exactly the safest place to be and knowing my luck, I would just be a bloody muggle. I will begin this book tonight and I’ve read some pretty bad reviews about it. But I feel that since I’m going in with the knowledge that Rowling didn’t write it, that I will spared much disappointment. Instead, I will just treasure it for a potentially good fanfiction, because in truth, that’s what it is.
