What Are You Reading Wednesday #54: Amanda Lester and the Pink Sugar Conspiracy

whatareyoureadingwedWhat Are You Reading Wednesdays #WAYRW is a weekly feature on It’s A Reading Thing. It’s fairly straight forward. Just answer a few simple questions about the book you are currently reading and the post it. If you use the image above, please make sure you link it back to It’s A Reading Thing.

How to participate:
Grab the book you are currently reading and answer three questions:

Amanda Lester and the Pink Sugar Conspiracy

1. What’s the name of your current read?

Amanda Lester and the Pink Sugar Conspiracy by Paula Berinstein

2. Go to page 34 in your book or 34% in your eBook and share a couple of sentences.

Suddenly she saw Ivy stiffen. “They’re alive!” she screamed. “I can hear them in there!”

“Thank goodness,” said Amanda, letting go of her two friends and running toward the garage again. Then she heard it too-two voices hacking and coughing, one human, one canine, getting louder as they approached her. Suddenly Nigel appeared. He was so dark with soot that looked like a black lab rather than a golden one, and his feet were bleeding. Following him was a bedraggled, equally sooty Nick, bending over as if in tremendous pain.

3. Would you like to live in the world that exists within your book? Why or why not?

I’m not as far into the book as I would like. It’s been a rough week and I haven’t really had time to get into it. The world Amanda lives in is full of detectives and villains. My opinion so far is a bit jaded as an adult, but had I had this series as a kid, I think I would have been really into it.
